Movie Reviews
Hey people. As you can tell by the title of the column, I am writing movie reviews. I will rate movies on how well I enjoyed the movie on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the worst. Here we go.
Barbershop: It is a movie that is based on how a guy (Ice Cube) sells his father’s barbershop to a loan shark because it doesn’t make any money. His father’s barbershop was like a gathering place for the African Americans in the area. Think of how Rumors was in Wolcott before the drug bust. Anyways, his workers are all these funny people who love the shop. They do not realize what Mr. Cube’s character did. I cannot give away any more for that will give away the ending. The absolute funniest line in the whole movie is when Eve’s character says, “WHO DRANK MY APPLE JUICE!”
I rate this movie a 10 because overall it was so funny and cute. The acting is superb (compared to Ice Cube’s other movies) and well, its cute.
Swim fan: A guy named Ben Cronin is a star swimmer on his high school swim team. He is the all around popular guy. He has cool friends, a nice mother, and a girlfriend who is devoted to him. Well, a new girl named Madison Bell sees Ben and wants him. They have a one-night stand and Ben wants to break it off. Madison starts to stalk Ben, his mom, and his girlfriend. (Heck, if I was Madison I be angry too. I wouldn’t stalk him though.) Basically, take the movie, “Fatal Attraction” and make it for teens. I rate it an 8. Some of the movie was repetitive and boring. Its creepy factor especially in one scene is worth paying for admission.
